We had four paddlers out for the Fall overnight on Lake Monroe. It was a windy day Saturday with winds at about 20 mph with gust up to 40 mph. Temps were warm in the 60's but the predicted rain was brief and light.
We paddled out to Deam Wilderness Peninsula and setup our tents and had lunch. After lunch we went out for afternoon paddle playing in waves enjoying the late fall scenery. Most of the leaves were off the trees already. We paddle a total of about 12 miles Saturday.
We built a nice fire for the evening and enjoyed dinner and the clearing skies with a near full moon rising.
Sunday we broke camp and paddle down the peninsula and back to Cutright boat ramp. A great way end the Sea Kayaking season.
