American Canoe Club (ACA) 

The Hoosier Canoe and Kayak Club (HCKC) is affiliated with the American Canoe Club as a Paddle America Club. 

The Advantages of Joining the American Canoe Association 
As a member of the American Canoe Association, you join the ranks of tens of thousands of people who support safe, enjoyable paddling and protection of America's recreational waterways.
Some reasons for joining the nation's oldest paddlesport organization are:
  • Choice of one magazine from Rapid Media (Canoe Roots, Adventure Kayak, Rapid, Kayak Angler)
  • Discount on Subaru automobiles, ACA merchandise, other member-only offers, car rentals, hotels, restaurants, and phone plans.
  • Stewardship Support
  • Education Resources - The  HCKC's kayak and canoe instructors are ACA trained and certified instructors.
  • Bi-monthly Paddle eMagazine on local, regional and national paddlesport issues 
  • Access to two ACA-member only paddling venues: Sugar Island (St. Lawrence River), Camp Sebago (New York)
  • Support of amateur paddling competition
  • Reduced admission to ACA sanctioned events and races each year

How to sign up for the American Canoe Association
  • Go to the ACA site:  http://www.americancanoe.org/
  • Click on the "Join ACA" link (top link) under the Join/Renew tab in the top menu.
  • Select Individual Membership and select Continue in the next screen.
  • Complete the information on the "Create Username & Select Club" screen and click Continue.
    Select "Hoosier Canoe and Kayak Club" for your Paddle America Club.
  • Select "Individual Membership" as your membership type on the Membership Selection screen.
    The cost for this membership is $25 per year per person.   The ACA no longer provides a family membership.
  • You are then prompted to enter your membership information and provide your payment.
