A nice sunny day on the Wabash was enjoyed by participants on 8/24/2024. There were 7 solo kayaks, and one canoe with three paddlers. The river level that day was right around 2 feet. The Wabash downriver from Lafayette has a pretty reliable flow even during dry times. There were numerous sitings of various birds, such as bald eagles, great blue herons, green herons, egrets, and a large flock of bank swallows.
