Agenda For the Annual Meeting, Club Fair, Swap Meet, + So Much More
12N—2pm Arrive for the HCKC “Club Fair” (a new approach in engaging our club). This part will be hosted by club members and guests with experience and expertise in their areas and will include the following:
1. a. Pathway from Beginner to Advanced: Touring & SeaKayaking
Where are you on this pathway? Do you aspire to paddle in the Great Lakes or coastal areas? Are you wondering what skills and gear are needed? Do you know where to learn these skills?
b. Kayak Camping: Essential Gear, Tips on Packing and What to Eat?
Experienced backcountry Kayak campers share their experience on gear they consider essential. Learn some tips on how to stay organized and how to get all that “stuff” into that skinny boat. Learning what foods are compact, easy to prepare and taste great?

2. Conservation: The Wildcat Guardians, founded in 1990 by Garry Hill, has been a prominent contributor to the enhancement and protection of the beautiful Wildcat. The Wildcat with its varied paddling sections continues to draw river paddlers from all over Indi- ana. Stop by and talk to Garry Hill and learn about new paddling opportunities and en- gagement.

3. Low Head Dams: Learn how to be safe around them. Talk to our own Low Head Dam advisor on the latest remediation and removal of these “Drowning Machines.” Check out the literature and share this “Save Your Life” knowledge with other paddlers, friends and family.

4. Hoosier Environmentalist Sighting: Clark is a long time paddler and natural lands environmentalist. He has advocated for our Hoosier waterways and wetlands through his policy efforts. His exhibit will include some inspiring Riparian lore, art and artifacts pertain- ing to our waterways. Prepare to catch some river protection spirit.

5. Club History: Dave takes us on a journey through our Club’s history. This on-going slideshow represents 61years of club members’ participation in keeping our club vital and viable. Let’s joyfully remember those who have come before and whose footsteps we follow in today.

2:20—3:00 Presentations:
• Paddling Wild Washington (Definitely, Not DC): Adventures in Deception Pass. By: Tony Pascuzzi & Dave Nord. More area adventures. By: Susan and Dave Nord.
• The North Channel of Lake Huron, west of Georgian Bay: Paddling 40 miles in 5 days through the Benjamin IS. presented some spectacular scenery. The slide show includes trip planning and the various routes on the water. By: Linda Decker

3:20—4:20 Annual Business Meeting, Election of Officers, Trip leader recognitions, Awards, and Skipper farewell
4:20–4:30 Jordan’s Memorial
4:30—5:15 Dinner
5:15—5:45 Final swap meet purchases
5:45—Clean up
There will be a pitch in dinner with the club providing the 2 entrees, bread and non alcoholic beverages, Members are encouraged to bring either a vegetable, fruit, starch, salad or dessert, or your favorite dish. There are refrigeration and warming ovens provided.
