IPR Moving Location & Dates

(Please share this with the Members of other Indiana Paddling

& River Protection Groups, but Please avoid Facebook

announcements that can be seen All Over the World)

Hey Wildcat Paddlers,

Welllll, I have finally found the place where the Indiana Paddlers Rendezvous will be held in 2024.  We will be moving to the West Fork of

White River just Upstream from Indianapolis.  I have made reservations for

our activities at "White River Campground", located just west of Perkinsville,

a few miles North of Noblesville.

However, due to Reservations made by other Groups, we have to change the IPR dates away from the Traditional "First Weekend of August".

For 2024, our dates will be Friday-Saturday-Sunday, July 26-27-28.

We have a Lovely Shelter House reserved for our Saturday Evening activities.  There is a nice Fire Pit for our Chili Supper, a spacious room for

the Guardians Benefit Auction, and a great place for the Evening Party.

There are Multiple Choices for our Three Paddling Trips, which will all

be announced at a later time.

CAMPING RESERVATIONS.......

White River Campground supplies Everything that you would need to enjoy

Camping near the Banks of the River.   There are many RV Sites, Electric Tent Sites, and Primitive Tent Sites.  HOWEVER, many of these Sites are

already BOOKED.  If you need these Sites, YOU MUST get your Reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I have copied the Link to their Reservation Website down below.......

https://www.hamiltoncounty.in.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/White-River-Campground-1

Or, You can Call the Reservation Desk at 317-770-4430

White River Campground also has a "Group Camping Area" which we have reserved from Friday Morning to Sunday Afternoon.  Camping in this area will be limited to IPR Participants, and requires no advance Registration with the Campground.

The Group Camping Area is a Nice Grassy Space located back away

from the Busy part of the Campground.  It is very much like the Camping we had at Wildcat Park,  and there is room for 20 to 25 Tents.

Site Selection is just "First Come---First Served".   If you cannot get a

Reserved Tent Site, or if you just don't need the Electric Tent Site,

then the Group Camp will be there for you.  Just let Muskrat know that

would be Your Choice ahead of time.

    Details Later.......

All the details of Activity Times, Access Locations, Trip Distances,

and everything else You Need To Know, will be provided via my email

Newsletters later in the Summer.  The important thing for this Moment,

.......is Your Camping Reservations.

I will also be announcing a few Scouting Trips on The Whitey so we

can be aware of any Logjam situations that we need to work on.

Other than that, there are usually no Safety issues with this River.

If you have Newbies You would like to Invite, this would be a Nice

& Safe opportunity for Beginners.
