WW/Training Flatrock River
Where: Loves Travel Stop, 7880 N Old US Hwy 421, St Paul, IN 47272
When: 21st March 2021, 10am.
Grade: 1/2
Timing: This paddle will be flow/ water level dependent and timing will be anything from 4-6hours.
This is intended for all WW paddlers plus those wanting to experience some WW. Instruction and safety cover can be provided.
Pre-requisites
Have core skills of L1 or above (see newsletter)
PFD, and Helmet required.
Appropriate clothing for the weather.
Spray skirt not essential but may be preferable for kayaks.
I do not recommend touring/sea kayaks, or composite kayaks.
Instruction can be provided during the paddle if you wish. We will be stopping to practice on various features during the paddle.
Training will include, but not be limited to:
- · Eddying in and out,
- · Ferry gliding
- · Throwline/rescue work
- · Surfing
Covid Waiver to be signed and facemask to be worn during shuttle.
