Orivs of Carmel has invited our club for a free demonstration and instructions on the art of Fly fishing.  They will go over all the basics from rods, reels, line, leaders and flies.  How to set up and the art of casting.  This is a family oriented  event.  Anyone of any age can learn to fly fish.  And girls it's not just for macho guys.  Fly fishing is a finesse activity and females tend to do well with fly fishing.  It's not just for trout fishing in Colorado or Pennsylvania. Fly fishing can be done for any species on any type of water.  Once you lean to fly fish you will be hooked.  Next thing you know you will be tying your own flies and taking every opportunity to catch a finned predator. Growing up on the water I remember as kid 8-10 years of age taking my grandfather's 9 foot 9 weight bamboo fly rod rod out and catching everything from bluegill, bass, silvers to northern pike.  The fish just seem to love the little popper fly's I would throw them.  I've  never stopped fly fishing.  This class Is limited to 15 people so please register soon.  Bring your significant other or sibling.  Bring a boat and go paddle after the event.  We can discuss Paddle fishing after.  Click on the link below and go to trips and events or from calendar click on event and register.
